Its harder to run than origins, I have a RX 590 which is 15-20% faster than your 480 and I get 35 fps at 1440p ultra and about 43 fps at 1080p ultra. People throw the word "optimize" to describe game that is easy on hardware. People need to stop doing that. What I can tell you is this game is demanding.

That said, Origins is still a much better story to play through. Bayek is way better than both Kassandra and Alexios, Egypt is more alive a world than Greece, and despite all the grinding, it still can be completed in half the time it takes to finish Odyssey. The OST is also much better in Origins than it is in Odyssey imo.

Origins ties itself closer to the assassins creed title while Odyssey is something more of it's own thing, an ancient greek RPG game. Buy Origins for a newer take on the assassins creed games and buy Odyssey if you want an interesting take on an open world RPG.
Origins will be the closest. Odyssey was built upon Origins core mechanics. Black Flag is one of the best games in the series but it retains the classic gameplay of Assassin's Creed. If you're looking for RPG Witcher 3 like AC it's Origins and Odyssey. In your case I'd say to play Origins next.
